Our Story
Arbol Madre began life in 2012 in a small yurt as parents and teachers informal community group. After a while it took pedagogical form and started to be regulated under a non profit Asociacion, running kindergarten activities for children ages 3-6 years old in a farmhouse and garden.
In 2018, under new management, and rebranded as Arbol Madre, it started to develop and expand to families who come in search of a lifestyle and an alternative way of educating and raising their children.
Listening to the needs of our children, families and market, the project gradually adopted pedagogical form from Waldorf-Steiner, while continuing to benefit from a wealth of structured materials to cover all ranges of different child needs.
As the project grew, the need to open the primary school became apparent. Between 2022-2024 we have carried out the authorization process for operating as International School, and being part of the Registry of Schools of the Government of Andalusia to teach Primary Education under Royal Decree 806/1993. Arbol Madre Holistic International school has got candidacy status with New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in the full accreditation process.
